Showcasing Leeds Art Libraries: Stories from the Collection

Tuesday 17 April, 2-3.30 pm

ARLIS UK & Ireland is very pleased to announce a new free event (outside of London!) showcasing the collections of art libraries in Leeds.

There will be representatives of The Henry Moore Institute, Leeds Central Art Library, Leeds Art University and Leeds Beckett University talking about some of the most exciting items from their collections. The event is in conjunction with the brilliant current exhibition The House that Heals the Soul which focuses on the political and social status of libraries. Nick Thurston, the curator of the exhibition will be leading a tour for us to close the event. It’s also the last chance to see two other Tetley exhibitions reflecting on libraries and public spaces in Pakistan.

It would be most helpful if attendees could book in advance so we can track numbers but if that’s not possible please feel free to turn up on the day. If you’re based in the area, fancy a trip out or can recommend it to friends and colleagues, we’d love to see you.

For more information, please see the Eventbrite page here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/showcasing-leeds-art-libraries-stories-from-the-collection-tickets-44760514905.

The event is a collaboration between ARLISThe Tetley and LALIC.
